You want us all to wear masks? Mandate this? Ok, Chairman Mao

Yeah, and if we all stay home, and never go out, there will be less/no transmission.
We could have our food delivered to our doorstep
And if we wear full-body suits, it will be safer.
Where do you draw the line?

For me, I'd rather take "reasonable" precautions and LIVE FREE.
My buddy says he "would prefer the slight chance of fighting covid than a 100% chance of having 'cabin fever'" . I agree with him.

All you have to do is see/listen to the owner of the restaurant. Talk about selfish, no logic response. He is the same type that would profess personal freedom. The couple had the right to wear a mask. I would sue him!

In case it was not read the first time, I'll repeat:

Owner's restaurant, owner's rules. No matter how ridiculous it seems, he can make that rule, and "free speech" does not apply.

The couple had NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to wear a mask in HIS restaurant, and there is NO BASIS for a "lawsuit"

We live in Texas & eat out a lot. Every restaurant we’ve eaten in some people wear mask & some don’t. To me telling someone NOT to wear a mask sounds like a bunch of hooie. Maybe some restaurant told someone to take their mask off but I can tell you I wouldn’t ever eat there again. I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to name this restaurant would you or is this just hear say? This is a little hard to believe.

People living in Florida making comments along the lines of "well, it is Texas we're talking about" are hilarious.

If you can have a mask mandate policy, then you can have a no mask mandate policy. And no, it’s not about following the science. The real science is contrary to the CDC guidelines.

Texas Restaurant

If you don't like what they are doing in Texas, don't go there. Live somewhere else, keep out of other peoples lives.

If you are sick, flu included, either stay home or if you have to go out wear a mask. Otherwise, I like to see other peoples faces. Used to be only bank robbers wore masks - they make me uncomfortable.

My opinion, I don't think they help much at all and I don't like rebreathing my exhale - you see for a while I had some experience with them. We moved to Florida for the freedom that is lacking in NY, a place I had lived most of my life. Good riddens.

It is not just here in the US, it is worldwide. And it is not just one side or the other, both sides need to seriously turn the volume down. We are heading to a very violent correction if we cannot stop with all the vitriol and hate.

This is from Germany this morning:

Here's at decent article that doesn't seem slanted in any direction.

Rowlett Restaurant Owner Explains No-Mask Policy After Asking Family To Leave – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

Some posters seem to confuse this with the one at Carmines in NYC where the hostess was assaulted. My belief is that one was for attention and a lawsuit

Taking an immune-compromised 4-month old to a restaurant during the start of flu season? If they knew the policy that was posted on the front door why would they go there? Sounds like they were looking for a legal battle before there was one. Putting a useless mask on any child can cause serious medical and psychological damage.

So, you didn't read this thread either. They did NOT take the child to the restaurant. The child was with its grandparents. They went ou to eat.

It just utterly amazes me why posters can't read past a few previous postings to learn the "facts as proffered" before they pollute the environment with their insightful knowledge!!:shocked::shocked:

1) You live in Texas
2) You live in or visit the town this restaurant is located in
3) You patronize that restaurant
4) You were there on the day of this incident
5) You were there during the whole time the incident could have gone down
6) You were located at a table in that restaurant where you would have seen the incident
7) And you saw and heard nothing, so concluded the story is a lie
8) And you concluded that despite all the media reports from myriad sources that reported the incident

OK, got it. Hmmmmmmmmm............

And this person wants to represent Texas? Head in sand believer……so sad.

What they needed to find was a restaurant where EVERYONE ELSE was wearing a mask. Or better yet, as the parents of an immunocompromised 4 month old, COOK AT HOME!

GE….. what about if they wore N95 masks? BUT……then I see your point because they would take their masks off to eat and drink. I agree with you that they should have just stayed home. It must be very difficult for any parent with an immunocompromised child.
