Default Theft on golf cars

We are careful and try not to leave items on our golf car to not invite theft, even though I have the utmost faith and trust people. I'm so disappointed to say that recently at a square someone switched our sand bottle with their broken sand bottle, not a huge expense, but an inconvenience.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Such a shame people don't think this way all the time.

Too many people live by “Do it to them before they do it to you.”

Could have been a rental, cheaper to switch than have to pay for a new bottle

Lol, I don't think renters give a hoot what the sand bottle looks like. Sounds like a local.

Did the OP check with camera owners in the area?

Maybe mark your item in a unique way?
Someday you might see it again . . .

The cart was rented…Not a renter, but could have been a resident who rented the cart for family. Broke it and didn’t want to pay. Or family broke grandpas and didn’t want to tell him. My guess a grandkid did it

Just curious how does a sand bottle get broken? They seem pretty sturdy.

I went in neighborhood market the other day for a few things and realized I didn't have my phone in my pocket (reminder list was on the phone) so I shopped by memory (ha!). When I got to the register I realized I didn't have my wallet. So I went to check my golf cart and there my wallet and phone are in the cup holder. Thank goodness your sand bottle guy didn't come along.

I've found most folks here to be very honest and decent people but there's are always a few around.

An inconvenience. But, more than that it breaks the bubble of "The Friendliest City". I have had tools stolen from inside my house and that left me with a bad attitude that is hard to forget. So I can relate.

Happened to read this. I discovered ours was broken. I just assumed being plastic it dries out and cracks.
Faith and trust people?
