Default Car Washing

Moving to TV in July and I love to keep my car clean. The question I have is do the outside spigots use the irrigation water? I’ve got a separate deionization system for water sports but not sure if that would help if it is irrigation water. Thanks and looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.

I am very sure the outside spigots on my home are potable water.

Outside spigots are definitely potable water. An irrigation water spigot would be illegal unless it was locked and clearly labeled.

Outside Hose Bibs are almost always Potable Water, regardless of where you live (it definitely is in TV). You probably have a Backflow Preventer on it, which is further evidence.

If you're North of 466 it wouldn't matter. Irrigation water North of 466 is Potable.

Nice to see someone else coming to TV who washes his/her own car

There are things I do myself, and things I pay people to do. Washing the car, mowing the grass, trimming the shrubs, all are things I can still do, so I do them.

Major electrical, construction, and HVAC? Don't have the skills or tools. Pay someone to do that.

Welcome (almost) to TV! Like one responder, I also find washing the car a very pleasant experience. Especially the rinsing with the hose part!

The sun does make it harder to wash a car properly. Wish I had a bigger garage with a drain in it.
