I can't believe the animosity toward people that paid money for their home and only choose to use it a few months out of the year. I bet the same people would whine if they decided to stay year round and made the place more crowded all the time.

I guess it really isn't America's friendliest home town?

The parking lot for Publix on 466 was almost full on a WEDNESDAY. Inside Publix, the bags of lettuce were gone and there were a lot of really non tan shoppers and ladies wearing dressy hats and longer black dresses and a lot of make up. It was crowded in there and as I waited for Henry to check out, an older man setting next to me, (he wasn't any older than me to be fair) said that the lines for restaurants were long last night.

Anyone else see any signs that the birds are back?
s.

Did you stop any of them and thank them for paying all their amenity fees while not using them so you and your Sunbirds can enjoy facilities greatly overbuilt for the number of Birds who remain all year?

Ken. Read each post on this thread. There are only two posts out of 30 that could be considered negative. It is a fact. The traffic is heavier and Publix was busier. The seasonal residents have returned. A lot of them. Correct me if I am wrong. I don't believe you have ever been here to The Villages, is that right? All of Florida is experiencing the seasonal swell of people who come during December, January, February and March. It is a fact. It has happened for years and will continue to happen. We did it. Others will do it until they turn into frogs. I thought they grabbed the lettuce, but someone pointed out that perhaps lettuce is sparse because of the recall. I am so sorry that I thought all the seasonal residents grabbed the lettuce. I was wrong.

But maybe it was seasonal residents. There was lettuce there last week...…….. And anyone can claim ANYTHING as long as they remain anonymous.

Ungrateful Sunbirds.

If the Sunbirds stayed home and did not shop when The Seasonal Residents want to shop, it would be less crowded.

Can't confirm these people were snowbirds but this morning on the MMP along El Camino we were almost hit by another cart passing on a blind curve, let alone flying down the path.

That happened to me in July, who do I blame?

There wasn't a space to be had in the Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins parking lot at Southern Trace this morning at 10 am. I'm not sure what goes on there -- maybe groups of golfers or other club members meeting after a round? That place is always hopping during the day.

Fredster 12-05-2018 05:41 PM

Since it is still early December, the snowbirds are not all back yet, just wait until January-March!
Hard to understand why so many frogs who most likely
were seasonal in the past have trouble excepting how it has always been!
Then again, I think complaining is a popular pastime here!

Thankfully their back. Things were starting to get a little boring.

Oh thanks.

It's Seat Saving's turn, BTW. Dog Poop just ended.
