Your statements below do not seem to suggest "an enhanced sense of fun", at least to me (unless you find it fun to wait to wait for traffic, find few parking spaces, and find no lettuce!

"Yesterday we had to wait and wait to pull out on 466, just like we were warned when we said we were gonna build here. The parking lot for Publix on 466 was almost full on a WEDNESDAY. Inside Publix, the bags of lettuce were gone..."

None of the above. All it means is that a lot of delightful people have joined us and that we can feel the swelling of the population. The high season in all of Florida has begun and there is an enhanced sense of fun and more people. MANY, many more people.

Many~!

You are NOTHING but a funny lady. The message seems to be lettuce alone. :1rotfl:

Clever and quick pun fun. :)

(We really do play well with others though. We are good neighbors, no matter where we are.)

The bunkers at Turtle Mound Executive Course look like a soccer game was played in them. Please people, rake them appropriately!

I suspect that there are many who enjoy the swelling population.

I suspect there are many who do not.

I welcome snowbird homeowners in The Villages.

But the other three million roaming about the state and those who use our hometown for their vacation destination...….... and their sisters and their cousins and their aunts...……….

sigh.

I don't doubt that for a minute. :)

The north end of Morse is a race track until all the seasonal and snowbirdies return and the real agitation sets in !:1rotfl:

The POINT was to answer the OP's question: "Anyone else see any signs that the birds are back?"

Yes, an abundance of Canadian plates, but I, for one, am fine with it.

I think the OP's POINT was to stir the pot, with a seemingly innocent, but ambiguous statement.........and she suceeded! :boxing2:

I know Grace and she was just making a statement and trying to get some conversation starting. There was absolutely no ill intent in her post.

"there were a lot of really non tan shoppers and ladies wearing dressy hats and longer black dresses and a lot of make up"

This sounds snarky to me
