It was sarcasm in response to the poster's post.

This is the problem people leaving their bags on all the time. If your NOT golfing take them off. Do you feel important by leaving them on. Nobody should be touching your property but all you were doing is beating the fish.

Based on a neighbor's experience with having golf clubs stolen, apparently the police check with the used sporting goods stores.

An old joke is that you wait until Tuesday to check at Play It Again Sports as they need a day to put on a price tag and list it in their inventory.

Click Bait......
Read the post, not just the title.
The first line: "Yesterday, a golf club was stolen off a golf cart outside Beef O'Bradys in Colony. "

Regarding using the bag cover, it was in reference to the post talking about not seeing the expensive clubs....not protection.

Regarding cutting.................read my post, don' lie about my post..............I said cut the cover (not the cable), nice try.

Thanks for the laughs today.

I never said a word about cutting any cable. So I would appreciate it if you would stop lying...

But sure, hang your hat on one word in one sentence in one post. A post that is titled something else entirely, when everyone else is talking about that something else...

I'd laugh at your posts, but they're really just sad...

"Feel Important"?

Some people go to lunch after playing golf (I know I usually do...). Are you suggesting I don't go home first, drop off my clubs, and then go back out to lunch because I want to "feel important"?

I also have stopped at Publix on the way home, to pick up a few things. Am I doing that with my clubs on the cart in order to feel important?

SMDH...

They probably take whatever they can easily get.

You seem to have an answer for everything. People are putting up the best suggestions they can and all you can do is post Negatives. What's your solution stay at home hide under the couch?

What? You expect "Mr. Helpful" to actually be helpful?

Yesterday, a golf club was stolen off a golf cart outside Beef O'Bradys in Colony. There was a witness and Sheriff's deputies responded. The thief will be charged with burglary (as the cart is considered to similar to a car). The other individual will be charged as an accomplice as he drove the car. Deputies stated this happens all the time, but people think they lost their clubs or someone mistakenly grabbed their clubs. More times than not, they are being stolen!!!

We all enjoy going anywhere we want with our clubs on our carts. Maybe it's time to re-think having them on our carts except when playing golf.

No "we all" don't enjoy riding around with our golf clubs. Do you leave your valuables in your unlocked car??? Go home, shower and have a nice lunch somewhere without worrying about the golf clubs.

How can you lock single clubs up? Yes, a cover works, but how do you secure a cover to prevent theft?

We use a bike lock. Run it thru holes and loops on the bag and around the back frame of the cart. It’s a thinner one with a combo lock.

We started this after my clubs were stolen at Brownwood (we were running late and didn’t take them off beforehand).

My clubs were a newer ok set from dicks sporting good sitting next to my husbands full set of Calloway’s and they stole mine and left his (thankfully).

We know it can be cut, but that takes a little time and hopefully they move on. So far, so good.
