Default Sumter County eTrakit retired

I've seen eTrakit mentioned a few times so thought I'd pass along it is no longer up and running. Went down late last week and since it wasn't up yet, I reached out to see how long the outage was expected to be. I was told it has been replaced with "CityWorks" which requires a new login. Nothing before 01 August is carried forward to the new site, so if something prior to then is needed it is a request outside the system.

I haven't placed with CityWorks too much yet, but sad to see eTrakit go. It wasn't the friendliest system, but I knew how it worked!

This is the worst part of the change -- "Nothing before 01 August is carried forward to the new site, so if something prior to then is needed it is a request outside the system."

Public App

Well this certainly stinks. Boo!

Used etrakit quite a bit over the past few years.

City works is not easy to use at all.

Have you figured out how to search for a house plan? Been playing around in it and can't figure the site out!

Nope, so a great loss.

Start looking at the planning department agenda pages for the DistrictGov and City of Wildwood. Each meeting agenda has loads of documents related to The Villages large plans.

Alas, no easy way to find plans for individual homes.

VCDD Meetings/Agendas

1. Click on Online Agenda under Everglades ...they meet once a month.

2. In the online Agenda, it is trial and error...often times you will see quit claim deed and you have to click on that and then look for VOSO...the plats are often well hidden . if you scroll down all the way to the bottom there might be a list of VOSO and everything will download to your computer, unfortunately. open the plats and voila!

and

Meeting Portal - Wildwood City, Florida

Again, click on Agenda...you have to scroll and look at it all. You definitely cannot search much. You can control+F or command+F sometimes.

We still can't get into seeing anything like we used to on Etrakit.

I got on Cityworks. I tried a search and it doesn't work. All that information now not available to us. I wonder why.

Wish I'd known prior to the software move because I would have downloaded/copied everything there on my home.

Yes...I called them about this. We do over 900 warranty inspections a year in The Villages and used etrakit many times a day. We would always looked up homeowners blueprints and permitting before booking an inspection...it was SO helpful!

I was able to confirm square footage, etc, and so much more. When on an inspection we could compare what we were finding with the blueprints, check on fencing placement, etc. Now nothing.

This has hampered our inspection process, and now when folks want to book an inspection we have to ask them the conditioned square footage of the home, and many have no idea.

So sad about this......

You can use the Sumter county proper appraiser website. Select the drop down “search/gis map then property search”. It will give you the square footage breakdown with a sketch of the interior.

WOW...Great Jerry..thank you VERY much. While it is not everything we had access to before, this gives me what I really need.....the conditioned square footage. It does seem to be a bit different from what the blueprints show, but close enough...Thank you!

Respectfully, Frank D'Angelo
