Just read this in the on line....How can you not be allowed to enjoy the recreations in a community you pay for????

That doesn't seem fair....Wonder what he did so wrong....?

does he still have to pay the amenity fees...

After seeing the reason for banning him, would you want him around your family including grand children?. :22yikes:

One would think that, as a taxpayer/amenities payer, he would have to be compensated for the loss of these amenities. It's not a safety issue. It seems to just be an inconvenience issue. Why not counter sue this guy for legal expenses if his suits are frivolous? What if Lady Lake decides they want to ban him from driving on their roads? Strange.

my point exactly.......

He has many issues and you definitely don't want to be around him.

absolutly not.....BUT....who has the right to exclude him from what he is entitled to....paying for...

If his actions were bad enough..he should of been jailed...

You don't know what payment agreement they have with him.

Was there more than just litigiousness? Not exactly a safety issue or profanity/lewdness.

True. But that was the reason implied by the article.

It's no different than when the state takes away your right to drive a car. You could say, his taxes help build the roads and highways, how can the state take away his right to drive on them. Every right of use has rules or laws, break those and you should lose your rights. The Villages is no different, if you can't abide by the same rules as everyone else, then you lose those rights.

Is he paying.

How do we know he is paying his fees. Maybe they reduced them for his lack of use of the facilities.

I would like to weigh in on this, but I must prioritize my ponderings and now the following are ahead of this topic:
Which arm rest is mine in the movie theater?
Why does an Allstate insurance policy carry the caveat, "Not available in all states."?
Do astronauts change the clock every time they enter a new time zone?
How did Noah find penguins in Mesopotamia?

He's been around for many years. Called himself "Richard Gere" for a long time.
He's got a long rap sheet, including felonies and has filed many law suits against municipalities.

He's not deranged - just a troublemaker.

Do you suppose this is the same guy? This activity is in Illinois about 20 years ago.

The articles about Mr. Hendricks are from early 1997. His age was listed as 60 in one of the articles from 1997. His current age was listed as 79 from the article in one of the previous posts so the age progression is correct. I would bet someone a beer (Leinenkugel Summer Shandy or Traveler Grapefruit Shandy) that this is the same man as the person from Mt. Prospect, IL listed in the 1997 articles. Mt. Prospect is only about 9 miles from the suburb that I have lived in for many years  If it is the same man, I am sorry that TV inherited him from Chicagoland.
