Love your post, it is perfect but you forgot one thing. Some posters give another nut a target by mentioning a specific target so they feel good while typing that spot but don't think about possibly helping to enable another incident. For as smart as some people claim to be sometimes they are not.

See something, say something. Be aware of your surroundings. Live your life. Don't enable these freaks by naming specific spots.

We are very, very vulnerable-remember a terror attack happened in Orlando- 1 hour away
Throughout history, the price of safety is a loss of freedom.
I do not claim to have the answer, I just want all to be aware of the question.
Are we prepared for random stops requesting paperwork as the Germans and others did in WWII era?
Once we grant this kind of power it has and will be abused.

Someone suggested guns. I'm not anti gun BUT.
A legal gun owner will be concerned with innocent by standers. A terrorist will and does, pick a crowded spot
and he/she/it is prepared to, expects to, die in their chosen attack.

What has been lost since 9/11? What have we SPENT in terms of DOLLARS and in terms of lost FREEDOM

SOLUTION-I WISH I HAD ONE

HOPE-the terrorist WAR in Ireland went on for centuries till people rose to power and asked the question of why are we killing each other. Sadly it took centuries. With peace, both, "sides" are better off.

I have only questions-NO ANSWERS

Such an incident occurred at Spanish Springs a number of years ago. I believe there was at least one fatality and several injuries.

I feel safe at LSL with the 3 wheel Segway patrolling. A terrorist deterrent if I've ever seen one.

I think that there are any number of not likely situations that could cause injury of all kinds around here and that is how insurance people figure out the costs of their fees. From pretty likely to not likely. I think that we can only expect a reasonable amount of protection from things not too likely like terror attacks here in The Villages. We have had people who have lost consciousness behind the wheel and ran off the road and into structures and people. We all just need to try to keep ourselves aware of what is happening around us.

There are many risks associated with living and I have to put this one on the list which includes being killed during an alien invasion. Frankly the odds are so high against its occurrence, why give it other then a passing thought ? I continue to be amazed with a society, which crushed Nazi Germany and the Japanese Empire just 70 years ago, now trembling in its boots and restricting personal liberties at the thought of a terrorist attack.

Good point, if there are nuts around, please don't give them any ideas.

Remember, most incidents in the US involved a shooter, and they picked gun free zones nearly 100% of the time. I don't carry and never will, but thank you to all the well trained Villagers who do, I certainly believe you are a deterrent to these clowns.
PS. Aim well and don't shoot me
