Don't know, but I bought my own and take it with me when I participate in events out of the area--I have instructed people who I play with how to use it-there is no liability -you are trying to save a person who without the AED would be brain dead within 3 minutes

Whether a Village has one or not is up to the people who live there. They are purchased by groups in Villages that want to have them and volunteers from that village are taught to use them.

Call the nonemergency fire department number. A fire department rep works with each neighborhood to determine best locations.

Our villa community has 80 homes and about two years ago everyone who wanted to participate put in $130. For that we got two AED units and they are in a locked metal cabinet on a villa wall, one at the back entrance and one at the front entrance. Anybody who wanted to get checked out on how to use it, was offered free classes.
