Call Massey. They’ve got some stuff that’ll stop those tiny ‘sugar ants’ with only one application

Any tricks or ideas from you folks?
Also, break their path with diatomaceous earth. It desiccates them. Between that and the Terro, you should have adequate weapons for the little guys.
Remove any enticing food sources for a while too. No pizza on the floor, cookies on the counter until they stop visiting.

Are these tiny ants? That are there one minute then gone?

We use Do It Yourself Pest Control. You can find their # online. We don't have ghost ants now. We are using a pest control firm now in the Villages because they also do our yard. But if they don't do well inside, we will get product from Do It Yourself. Not a spray.. Usually a gel form in an applicator. No contact, no smell.

Have you tried Borax, sugar and water placed in a small container with a piece of bread or frozen waffle in it?

Default Ghost ants remedy

In repsonse to the ghost ant problem, Optiguard ant gel is the best and works like a charm. Can be ordered for $29.50 a tube. Does not take much.

Office room got invaded a few days ago. A couple of 'em turned into at least a dozen in 2 days. Not eating in there anymore. Using a plate or whatever, one crumb hits the ground and they eventually come-a-runnin'. Bread is the evil crumb-dropper, releasing many crumbs for just a couple slices.

Got the Terro on advice in this thread and set it up. Box says to use them all at once but I think that's the way they get you to keep buying. I want to save my stash for later. Will see how one works in my office.

Update from OP. Ants gone. Used Terro inside and out. And Raid spray. And ant traps, forgot the brand. Caulked around those windows well. Finally after a week, no signs of them. Thx for all the suggestions folks.

I find Terro works best. You can get the enclosed ones where you break off the end so the ants can crawl in and get the sweet poison, OR get the bottle and cut up a piece of cardboard (the box it came in works), place it near where you see the ants and place a few drops on top of the cardboard. Once one ant finds it, they all seem to go and touch it. They then bring it back to the nest. I find this, Terro, works best.

We just tried Terro gel based on suggestions from this thread, it does seem to be working.

It's even worse when they bring their uncles with them.

We had ghost ants 3 times 5 years ago. I then started a quarterly Home Defense spray program on my own and have never had an ant since or any other bugs for that matter. The only time we ever see a bug, and it's rare, is if one comes in on our dog. No spiders, nothing at all. It has been working for 5 years now and it's cheap and it's safe and it doesn't stink. No need for a professional or a dredge just good old Home Defense spray. Try it, you have nothing to lose.
