Default Tommy Bahama Grand Opening Today in Brownwood

Happened to be in Brownwood yesterday and saw that Tommy Bahama was open. The sales clerk said it was a soft opening and that the Grand Opening was today...beautiful store. Everything was 50% off but I was told that it is an outlet store and they will never have retail prices. It was very busy. Worth seeing and I'm happy to see boutique type stores. I can always go to the mall to get what I need. It is nice to browse a store that I would not normally enter. I was very surprised and very pleased. Nice to experience new positive things in my retirement.

50% off on the day they open. So it did cost twice as much before the store existed and now it cost half as much. Proving the store is run by the government.

Not familiar much with the brand other than the furniture which friends have and it is lovely.

How much is a Tommy Bahama t-shirt regularly? Wow!

I went in and it was packed out. Line down the street to get in and another line to pay. I didn't think the clothing was worth the pricing. Saw a lot of made in China tags and figured I could go to Bealls Outlet and buy the same quality for much less money. I was bewildered at what all the fuss is about.

I went in yesterday and it's nice. It's like VanHuesen and Izod outlet stores' pricing at Lake Sumter Landing: Retail priced meant to be but in half or more. It's a selling psychology that works.

Brand name designer stores like that add to the retail base attracting shoppers from around the area and for vacationers/travelers coming thru, too.

Christmas, Easter, and Spring Break are coming, and any adult child or grandchildren would like gifts and resort wear from there.

Yes, it's a little pricey, but people like it and can afford it, and we need other shoppers from outside TV to come and spend their money and keep things going during the slow season.
