Default Town Centers Dancing

Has there been a recent change to Town Center "dance areas"? Upon arrival, we are restricted to areas for seating and informed by event personnel to only place chairs within those limits to provide safe space for people dancing and clear exits. The "dance areas" have become standing room where participants are eating, drinking and placing empty cups or food containers on the ground. You are no longer able to dance because of the standing guests and their trash. What happened? Who can be informed? Should standing be restricted to seating ares? This is becoming a situation where it is no longer enjoyable to go out for a night of dancing.

Well, people shouldn't leave their stuff on the dance floor, but if they want to stand and watch the band up close without dancing, they are actually taking up less space then if they dance.
I was at LSL Tuesday night and didn't have a problem.

That sounds like the way it has been for the five years I've been going to the squares.

- Areas roped off to ensure clear exit paths

- Chairs restricted to certain areas to provide a large dancing area and the clear exit paths

- No specific dancing motions mandated for those who want to occupy space on the "dance floor"

When it's crowded it's crowded, we all have to live with it. I was also here when admission to the seating and dancing areas were by ticket only - that didn't work well either.

It's high season, Tuesday night was a beautiful night, and a popular band was playing at LSL. It was busy, but I thought very manageable. I showed up at 6:00, found a place for my folding chair, hooked up with some friends. After the 6:00 set, which I think ended around 6:45, some folks left, others arrived.

The only times I've felt like it was "too crowded" (for me, others were having a grand time) have been during the seasonal holidays when it seemed there were probably a lot of families visiting, and even that has its own special feel, seeing younger adults, and little kids having fun that is not available to them on a daily basis from wherever they come.
I think it's a much better sign to have the place crowded than it would be to go down there and have it be dead. That would make me worry about the future of this place. When I've had enough of the party, I go home.

BTW, one of the folks I met down there was visiting a pal of mine, and it was his first time in TV. He lives in New Jersey. He kept saying, "I can't wait to bring my wife down here. She's gonna love it. We're buying a place here"....I asked him if he could taste the Kool-Ade they'd spiked his beer with. He didn't get the joke.

It's high season, lots of people here now, and lots of folks from the outside area come in for Friday and Saturday nights.... Come back in the summer, it's less crowded then.

Should have been at LSL last night. There was plenty of room. The band was good.

I actually danced (to get warm). We had visitors from The Frozen Lands of the North, and they had a great time not being in sub-zero weather.

The lady lead singer had a great voice. She was wearing a winter coat, and the keyboard player was wearing gloves. Honest. I don't know how he managed but he sounded fine.

Someone built a small fire on the dance floor to stay warm. (Ok , I made that last part up, but the rest was true)
