We have had the same complaint so we called the Villages. That same day the lots across from us were cleaned up and for some time the workers walked around the houses being constructed and cleaned up before they left. As with anything, they slacked off after some time. I agree that this will be a temporary problem until the building is finished. I think the bigger problem is the big trucks driving at crazy speeds. If they have to stop quick they can forget it. We have called about that too and we have seen more of a police presence in the area. I think more people have to call and make the Villages aware of the issues and they will work to fix them.

this is the 3rd house we have built in Florida (one in Winter Springs and one in Orlando) If you build a new house in a new area, there will be some mess until the builders move on to the next area. It can be a problem for a little while, but it passes when the landscaping is put in!

Its a real mess - cups, wrappers, building debris, half-eaten food, mud/dirt thick in the streets, stones/rocks.......its a hazzard when you are walking, driving, biking etc. Not to mention the outrageous speeds they drive in the neighborhoods. 2 days ago a cement truck was speeding around a curve so fast I thought it was about to fall on its side. I was walking the dog, and litterly jogged (not running material anymore) out of its way. I know yhings will get better when the construction is over, but whats this say to the workers - its OK to behave like pigs? And we expect them to live differently when they get home.....maybe thats why some poor neighborhoods look the way they do.
