Default Town Sq performers pay

https://www.**************.com/huge-...-town-squares/

After self employment taxes and income taxes plus the time it takes to set up and take down it's not much money per hour per person.
They work hard and in all kinds of weather.

Seems like the more popular entertainers are paid more. Not sure why this would be a headline about "Pay Gap". Also agree with the post above.

"Huge gap exists in pay scale for performers at Villages town squares"
Seems like a highly inflammatory headline to me.

Seems like they are paid according to the number of performers and the beverage sales their shows generate.

Many of the artists I know just love being given the opportunity to perform for the public. I wish the Villages would give them something extra for being village residents. Maybe have them announce the bands as being residents, "The Villages own...."

I know you know this. The Village Entertainment business was sold to the people who were running it for The Morses about four years ago. They in turn are paid by the merchants on the square.

Yep. But the Village Entertainment establishes the fee/rate per act, as per Mary, the administrator. She wears a Village badge and shirt.

Villagers are getting good value here. As for pay differences, the top draws make the most anywhere. Entry level performers usually are just happy to get a gig. This is another well managed operation in TV IMHO.

Hmm, I thought the article said the majority of the funds for Town Square Entertainment comes from tourism grants from the local counties.

In Nashville TN performers have to pay the local establishments in order to perform.

Correct, plus, I believe, the merchants also contribute.
