Default Trader Joes

On the not allowed to be mentioned news site, there is an article about Trader Joe's passing us up for other area's in Florida and a link to tell them that you want them here. I sent my plea in, although I have never been in a Trader Joe's. So many of you on this forum have raved about them, they have to be great.

So...go over to the other site..(shhh) and send in your request.

Ok Gracie,

Lets go off campus next week and we'll go to TJ's. Pick a day that we are both not playing golf.

They do their demographics--biggest aspect-population density, disposable income and people willing to spend for something special

The disposable income of the communities surrounding the villages will prevent any good restaurants retail stores & custom shops from our immediate area.

We've been going to various Trader Joe's stores for years - you're not missing a whole lot. IMHO Fresh Market is much better.

Trader Joe's salad dressings, hearts of palm in jars, specialty prepped entrees are great-we used to live in their store in Cary,NC

Another sore that most likely will never make it here is Whole Foods--unbelievable produce- and their Bison Dogs -were unbelievable

It is only 90 minutes to go to TJs in Winter Park, driving like the old lady I am and avoiding interstates and turnpikes. A pleasant trip.

Fresh Market is a better store. It's also more expensive. Aldi's is also owned by the same family as Trader Joe's. I wonder how many of their products are the same with different brand names?

They don't make decisions on emotion or appearance....they make decisions on statistics. Coming here will show a great place to live, nice people (for the most part) but that doesn't generate acceptable profit.

This is the link from the other news site. Why don't we swamp them with messages? Hope this link works.

After I reading so many great comments about TJ's I finally went into the Gainesville store about six months ago. I pushed a cart around and within 15 minutes I was ready to leave and didn't buy a thing. I rather shop at Publix, I just couldn't find anything great about the place.

I had moved here from Bel Air, Maryland and they built a Wegman's across the street from my home. In fact, I sold my home to the new manager. If anyone wants to be impressed with a supermarket, go into a Wegmans. The cooked foods and prepared foods section alone is as big as a Publix. They are really a destination store.

Here's the Bel Air store, the entire building you see is the grocery store.

I went to the one in Gainesville too. I only came home with a couple of things. Wegsman's is better but reminds me of Fresh Market price-wise. I buy what's on sale there.
