Default Trailer in front yard

Just when I thought I'd seen it all- Now have an empty utility trailer parked in the front yard (not the driveway) of a CYV down the street. Been there 4 days now. Is this legal? If not, maybe they will just shove it out in the street & "park" it. What to do, if anything?

You could call Community Standards 751-3912. If you do, please share their response. The standard response seems to be "can't do anything about it". This is the response I received about a similar issue and also 3 other people I know who called about different issues. Maybe you will have better luck.

I think 48 hours is the max they can leave it there. Call Community Watch and Deed restrictions and report it.

Flog them until they are near death, then call.

Go knock on the door and see if anybody is alive there. If they don't "slug" you or shoot you, maybe they will move the darn thing!

Maybe it could be considered an oversized lawn ornament and subject to deed restrictions for that reason A little facetious ... but, it does seem unreasonable for this to be parked in the yard for 4 days and counting.

Have any of the neighbors asked the owner what's going on?

You're allowed 72 hours for trailers etc for unloading. Where it is a weekend they are probably waiting to return it tomorrow. Chill out everybody.

We Brought some household items down in a uhaul back in November on a weekend and had to wait two days to return. Again in December when we moved down full time we had a huge uhaul truck which we returned a day and a half later. Both times we were met by neighbors (now friends) with cold drinks and offers to help! Not one neighbor asked how long that truck was going to be in the driveway. It will be gone. Take some cookies over or just a warm friendly handshake and introduce yourself. I'll bet you'll be friends or at least good neighbors!

As it is still there, it is obviously NOT a lawn ornament or the Cherub Squad would have turned on the hot lights and thrown salt in their eyes by now.
Perhaps it is some sort of FOR SALE sign... making a point. Talk about over-kill. What a lovely statement.
