As many get wealthier, they forget which end of the ladder they started climbing from!

At the rate The Villages is growing I think greed has taken over motivation. The Charter schools populations are outgrowing their space... the class sizes are equal to those of the inner city schools. There are more more shops and restaurants than needed. Thank goodness the Burke's BarBQ failed...it was really below the standard Villagers want and deserve... A trailer park so close to The Villages custom built homes will lower the homes resale value and add too many residents to our population. DO NOT ALLOW the Rohan family to profit from their influential family name by lowering the standards The Villages has maintained for all these years.

2. The original trailer park is still in operation, and is still the Villages, and is still a beautiful place to live. 3. The RV park won't be a trailer park. It'll be an RV camp that also has some permanent structures. 4. The issue isn't the haves vs. the haves-nots. It's the congestion of overdevelopment in an already overdeveloped area, which already has started showing signs of wear and tear as a result of the already-existing overdevelopment and congestion - and the fact that renters don't pay taxes - so RV camp tenants won't have to pay for any of that wear and tear. |
Great news...!

just like most places ... there property they can do what they want

It will be called Recreation Plantation South. There is your preview good or bad.

As a wise man once said, " strong fences makes good neighbors. ". In other words, " build the wall! ".
|
There are already enough people using the town squares in the villages.. This will be wonderful for the people in the trailers and not so wonderful for the villagers. The whole area is already congested enough.

We live in a Motor home most of the time. We are not trailer trash. We spend a lot of money while traveling. We even wash and wax our motor home regularly so it might be cleaner than a stick built home and cost as much or more than one. We have stayed in upscale Rv resorts that TV cant compare to. We have spent a lot of money and taxes at the TV craft shows(many of the vendors live in motor homes as well), the restaurants, and other area businesses. So sorry many think lowly of us. I only feel sorry for you that if you get tired of the scenery out your front window, you cant move along like us.
Sorry, we won't come to your facilities anymore. We may be in your way. We'll spend our money somewhere else. "Small house-Big front yard" |

I applaud you......some of us in TV don't feel that way so don't let them ruin your fun..... |
I do not think the issue is the quality of the development, but the addition of more high density, seasonal housing adding to the traffic and crowded restaurants etc. Additionally will this development have it own amenities or will the residents be anticipating the use of nearby amenities paid for by Village residents?

I live in Pine Ridge and see no problem with this proposed development. I really was sad to see the Burke's Restaurant go "bye, bye". I loved both the food and "ambiance".
|
They wouldn't have it any other way then for the home owners to help with their development of the RV park. There is always a front man for them.

What I’m worried about it the amount of traffic/congestion in the area. The number of lots proposed for that RV park is huge.
