Is this land sale a done deal of just speculation?

My mother owns a place near Spanish springs and she shouldn't have to pay for bands at the squares when others that live outside the villages do not. Maybe the RVers or outside areas could pay a fee and be aloud to pass through to the squares. As of right now everyone gets through at all the villagers expense.

:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: Your mother does not pay for the bands. Get a clue on how this place works ...... PLEASE!

In that case we need to look at the total number of Village passes that are issued each year and how many non Villagers are issued passes. These amenities are not public in the sense that any one can use them, or that they are voluntary, and how and to who are they given and what the cost should be each year needs to be examined and published publicly. Even with deed restrictions, we are not living in a dictatorship, I hope.

Very serious. I am not talking about an occasional event. I have been part of TV since 2005. Numerous friends of mine that now live in TV started out with RVs at Recreation Plantation. They laugh at us how easy it is to get guest passes and use our facilities. FYI I know of an acquaintance that purchased a park model in Rec Plantation last year for under $30K and hooked up with guest pass for TV Dec 2018 through March 2019. Don't be naive!

Yep, you’re wrong. You just made me laugh. Probably was in TV before you were, my relatives started living in TV in 1992... my parents in 1996.
It is true that I am learning new things all the time, I chose to be a life time learner.

It is one thing to have a few people sneak in, yes, I know they did it in the past, as compared to allowing/encouraging a large number of new people to use the Villagers’ amenities, this is what I’m concerned about.

FYI they also illegally cross Rolling Acres with golf carts and obtain access to TV via the path near the VFW golf driving range.

We were on a tear last year trying to hit every pool in The Villages but once we went to The Phillips Villas up near the VA our quest stopped. The Village was brand new and the pool was small, new and we loved the 40-minute ride up there and back home. The views around Lopez on Buena Vist were stunning. We'll have to make it a point to get to the Mallory Pool, Alert The Media. :1rotfl::1rotfl: Thanks for the invite.

We are Poolaholics but this year wasn't a record-breaker, we'll be back next year! :a040::a040:

Trailer trash? I live in Continental Country Club which is being surrounded by The Villages. We don’t like it yet we don’t call you names.

Wake up.

I didn't see anybody use that term while posting here but if I did I would have sided with you instantly. Those words are just wrong. Whoever said it should be ashamed of themselves. Sorry, you got lumped up. The vast majority of Villagers are not like-minded with the clown using the words you mentioned. :ohdear:

I think you answered your own question up-thread?

This is very concerning to me. It’s hard enough to get a spot at venues in The Villages and the town squares when a good band is playing. If all the people from the these RV Parks and the new apartments and condos being planned get free and open access to all our amenities that we pay for, we will have little chance to enjoy them.

The town squares are NOT amenities that you pay amenity fees for. They are open to the public. But the planners didn't plan on them accommodating so many residents. And obviously - they can't. There are really only two ways I can think of, that the developers can accommodate the additional traffic:

1. build two more town squares
2. eliminate live music, which will make those town squares less popular and therefore - less populated.

I'd prefer #1, personally - but I wouldn't put it past them to implement #2 because - who's gonna stop them?

The new apartments down by Brownwood will have their own amenities that actual Villagers will not have access to; it's not likely they'll go out of their way to, for instance, the Hacienda Hills area just to use the pool, when they have their own that only they can access.

Maybe that's the answer?

You can bring your rig and park it, but you have to jack it up...and take the wheels off?

How could a hugh RV park adjacent to TV homes be an asset to the residents of TV. What happened to our retirement community. I feel like I should have moved a block outside and them enjoyed all "the villagers" amenities for free. Colony shopping center is so crowded now, that I can't imagine what is will be like with 600+ RV"s next door. OMG will it ever end. Pretty soon Florida residents will be able to buy a yearly pass to TV and be given free access. I wonder when the BIG FERRIS WHEEL will be built. Still love it here but..............
