The Charter schools populations are outgrowing their space... the class sizes are equal to those of the inner city schools. There are more more shops and restaurants than needed. Thank goodness the Burke's BarBQ failed...it was really below the standard Villagers want and deserve... A trailer park so close to The Villages custom built homes will lower the homes resale value and add too many residents to our population. DO NOT ALLOW the Rohan family to profit from their influential family name by lowering the standards The Villages has maintained for all these years.

Why should the number of kids in TV School upset you?
No children of school age should be living in TV.

Too many shops and restaurants? You wont hear that statement from anyone in Fenney and the newer developed areas!

We have spent a lot of money and taxes at the TV craft shows(many of the vendors live in motor homes as well), the restaurants, and other area businesses. So sorry many think lowly of us. I only feel sorry for you that if you get tired of the scenery out your front window, you cant move along like us.

Sorry, we won't come to your facilities anymore. We may be in your way. We'll spend our money somewhere else.

"Small house-Big front yard"

One nice thing about our stick built homes, they don't depreciate like RV's. If we get tired of the scenery it's easy to sell a home here and move on, not so easy to sell an RV, used ones are everywhere for sale. We have had numerous RV's and still have a motorhome in addition to our stickbuilt. We have stayed in many restricted "upscale" RV resorts and that is all they are, upscale RV parks with a few extra amenities but nothing like we have here in The Villages and you would be hard pressed to find an RV that exceeds 500 Square feet of indoor living space.

This group has nothing to do with The Villages. How have they been screwing the Burk's. Just another uninformed person posting

Paint brush

IMHO, the bulk of RVers are people from the middle or upper classes. Who else can afford an RV these days? Best I could get was a pull trailer, albeit a large one.

We've got to be careful about painting all those with RVs or pull trailers, or type C motor homes with a negative brush. They are, mostly, a wonderful group of people, from my experience.

As for free amenities, that's not much different from those of us who are RENTING/LEASING our homes in T.V. Our landlord pays for the amenities and we enjoy them tremendously. If I had to pay for them myself, I would not mind.

The RV park better have its own amenities, swimming pool etc and not try to use what the homeowners’ pay for.

I hope they have heavy Security at their Gate because I'm gonna lead a Gang Of Q-Tip Heads to the Pool They Build. :1rotfl::1rotfl:

There is NOTHING that can be done to stop them from building that place. The place is going to be beautiful and if The Villages has to step up their game to keep out people without the proper I.D. then they better get busy. Should be doing it already as there are always people who don't belong using our pool's. Yes, I am a :super: RAT, I call. Took me two years to get to the point of calling but the hell with it if they don't belong then out with them. Usually way younger than 30 years old.

From personal experience many a RV site lease holder at Recreation Plantation gets a guest pass form their Villages friends for the high season. Most RVr's are from out of state thus the three county rule does not apply. The new RV park will be no different. Get ready for increased traffic at your favorite rec center activity and neighborhood swimming pools.

Are you seriously telling me that nonVillagers, I don’t mean renters, or guests of Villagers, are ALLOWED to use our facilities such as pools? In that case we need to look at the total number of Village passes that are issued each year and how many non Villagers are issued passes. These amenities are not public in the sense that any one can use them, or that they are voluntary, and how and to who are they given and what the cost should be each year needs to be examined and published publicly. Even with deed restrictions, we are not living in a dictatorship, I hope.

Nucky, please come to my pool all the time!

billethkid 09-30-2019 03:38 PM

We need to keep in mind that most of the negatives are perceptions and opinions of the very few.

We always seem to dwell upon that and ignore/pass over the fact that 95%++++ the system works as intended.

There will ALWAYS be those who test the limitations.....same as the residents of TV that ignore/pass over the rules.

:ohdear: I didn't read that ! Where does it say that? Learn how to quote and then do it. It makes it so much easier to follow. Just like I quoted you just now. :boom:

I was surmising this from several posts, not actually just one. Tell me I’m wrong! I want to be!

RVers getting free amenties

RV park sounds nice for the Rvers, however I feel the villages actually need to be an enforced gated community and not let everyone pass through unless they live there, or are visiting a villager(in which they should be able to verify with the villager before entering), or taking a tour in which they need to be directed to obtain a guest pass. My mother owns a place near Spanish springs and she shouldn't have to pay for bands at the squares when others that live outside the villages do not. Maybe the RVers or outside areas could pay a fee and be aloud to pass through to the squares. As of right now everyone gets through at all the villagers expense.

Serious questions, are you prepared to pay the additional costs to make this a gated community and do you think the restaurants and stores would survive with only Villagers as patrons?
