Yes. Go to your control by pulling down from the right top corner and press mirroring (2 little rectangles). If you have a smart TV and blue tooth on your phone you can pair them and be able to see everything on your phone on the TV.

I use the screen mirroring feature on my iPhone in conjunction with my Samsung smart TV.

Simple!

1. Make sure that your iPhone and TV are using the same WI-FI Network.
2. Make sure your TV is turned on.
3. From your iPhone or iPad, swipe down and to the left from the upper right hand corner of the screen. (See image)
4. Select the “Screen Mirroring” icon. (See image)
5. The APP will search for compatible devices and if one or more are found they will be displayed on your iPhone or iPad screen (See image)
6. Select the device that you wish to share your screen.
7. A 4-digit code will appear on your TV Screen. Enter that number in the space provided on the screen on your iPhone or iPad.

As I understand it, Bluetooth can only be used to transfer data and audio, but it doesn't have enough bandwidth to transmit video.

I go from my iPhone, iPad or MacBook Pro to my SMART Samsung TV with NO extra gadgets. TV has to be BlueTooth capable, then screen share from the device to the Samsung. So, I guess it depends on the TV. Remembering, I used to screen share to my AppleTV box, on an older TV.

Good luck.

If you have WiFi and a smart tv you should be able to tap the icon on the top right corner of your phone or tablet and select your tv. I do it all of the time

The most practical answer for you depends on your present equipment. Please tell us the make (and model, if possible) of your PC, TV, mobile phone, and TV streaming equipment to be more helpful.

You are getting different responses because of their equipment, not yours.

Not all smart TVs have this capability. It needs to have built-in casting software that is compatible with your phone.

Correct. Some people incorrectly assume that because their TV has casting capability that all TVs do.

Assuming that your grandson is sending this as a file which you are downloading onto your PC, try to download the file from your PC onto a thumb drive. Most new TVs have a USB ports. Just plug it into the TV select that port, this might work, and you can avoid all the other hoops.

Google Chromecast. You will need to use Google Chrome on your phone, or if you are using an app it needs to have Chromecast capability. YouTube worked well.

Buy a little HDMI cable and hook one end to a cable attached to your TV and the other into your phone.

If u have an android phone you can use google home and it will find your tv if it's a smart enough one. If not get a $25 chromecast and google home will find that and cast it to your tv.

oops, nevermind I see u have an iphone. If your pc has an hdmi port just use that.
