we always placed the spare tire and the jack in the back seat of the car (if the lug nuts have a special tool, leave that in the glove box)

that way, if there was a problem with any of the tires, no one had to unpack the trunk

Default Car train

I've taken the car train. It was a wonderful experience. Also have shipped a car from New England to Florida. They let us pack the SUV with as much as we could as long as nothing went higher than the seats.

If I had a choice, I'd go with the car train.

Hi - we have our guy Paul who picks up our car and transports it to our final destination in upstate NY. One price covers it all. You can pack it and we always leave the front seat open...we have used him for two years now and many other have used him as well...he is great and dependable and we trust him. Never had an issue. If you are interested, let me know here on how to reach you and I can give you his contact information. My girlfriend flies and he meets her at the airport in Albany. Reasonable. Much cheaper than car carriers...

Try Don Johnson, Freebird Interstate Transportation, 336-456-7082. You can load your trunk all you want! Great price, careful and reliable! He travels all over! If you still need this option give Don a call.

Another option is to have your car driven by someone else so you can put anything in it you want. I drive several cars across country for snowbirds and renters so they can fly. Most of my clients have had it shipped by a trucking company and have experienced damage or maybe even not getting their car for 5 weeks. If you would like information on my services please call Tim @ 810-691-5085. References available.
