We have a Begonia with the standard Villages blinds.
There is what is called an "eyebrow window" at the top of the front bedroom/office that faces east and gets lots of light in the morning. Has anyone covered this window and have a suggestion for a good company to do this? |

We got a piece of plywood had it painted to match the interior & exterior paint, our handyman fitted it with flexible quarter round molding & we placed a neat decal on the inside.
Made the room very comfortable with a Hunter Douglas shade |

I have a south facing eyebrow window in my Iris. My tenants asked if I could do something about it as the sun woke up their guests early in the morning! I put plantation shutters over the eyebrow. My big decision was whether to put a separate shutter on the eyebrow or to do shutters that covered the entire window.

We had the same issue a few years ago with our Iris eyebrow window. In researching what to do the only solution was to have a custom piece made by window companies. We lucked out as another Villager was changing their shutters and I bought their custom made eyebrow that had slats and crown molding and fit perfectly for $100. To do it right you need a custom made eyebrow shutter but it will run about $1100.

You could put 3m window tinting in the eyebrow. The solar light people sell and install it and it lowers the temperature and cuts down on the light.

We have a Gardenia and 48 Hour Blinds put in beautiful shutters that cover the entire window and arch. They look terrific. They do take about 6-8 weeks to get in since they are custom.
