Yard Waste Holiday Pick-Up Schedule

If you live in the Sumter or Marion county portion of The Villages, the following changes have been made to your yard waste pick-up schedule:

• There will not be pick-up on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in observance of Christmas
• A special yard waste pick-up is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2013
• There will not be pick-up on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in observance of New Years Day
• The next scheduled yard waste pick-up will be on your normally scheduled day of Wednesday, January 8, 2013.

Please remember to place your Christmas tree out on December 28th, or wait for your next scheduled day beginning January 8th. Only live Christmas trees should be placed out on yard waste pick-up days. Please be sure your tree does not contain any ornaments, tinsel, lights, or other objects. Artificial trees can be placed in your normal trash or you can schedule a special pick-up by calling (352) 748-0109. We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to servicing you!

If you live in the Town of Lady Lake or the Lake County portion of The Villages, please contact your provider, Waste Management, at (352) 787-4416 to verify your holiday collection schedule.

Depends on your regular trash/recycling day. If it is today, they will/already have picked up. If it isn't today, they won't.

When in doubt about your trash/recycle schedule go online to Village Community Development Districts. Look under sanitation and all info you need is right there. The Daily Sun newspaper always has the closings and changes listed by county during holidays.
