Up by hobby lobby is not central tv. I am tired of going up there for stuff and dealing with all the traffic and wish they would build closer to 44. None the less, I would not join, I do not buy the bulk stuff I used to buy and when I do, sam’s is okay enough although I prefer if something were closer, that is where I would go.

Check out the eyeglass prices. It will more than pay for your membership.

I just bought tires at Costco and it came to $905 out the door with mounting, balancing, nitrogen and disposal. The cheapest price I got for the same tires was $1100 out at a tire store. That more than paid for my annual membership fee.

If over the course of a year we save several times cost of membership, why should we not join?

Bought an American standard 1.25 HP garbage disposal for $99. Walmart has it for $145. That alone paid for almost half of my membership. Their Kirkland (generic) product line is also the best. The Kirkland organic salsa is the best store-bought salsa I've ever tasted. I have made my own salsa from my own garden and Kirkland's was every bit as good. Kirkland frozen tilapia is very good, and not sourced from China. Big white fillets and not fishy tasting. I have Sam's and Costco and for the things that I normally buy, Costco is way better. Costco also seems to be very careful about the products it brings into its store, making sure they are good quality. Costco's return policy is unmatched. Within 90 days you can return anything, no questions asked, even if you have partially used something. Who does that? And when you do return something, the employees don't give you an eye-roll. The only question they ask you is if there was something wrong with it. That's it. This is an especially important when you're trying something new because you're buying bulk/large quantities. If something doesn't taste good, for example, you're normally stuck with it. Not at Costco though. Costco also treats its employees pretty well. I have talked to people that work there. During a visit there I was asking about employment for my ex-wife. The cashier and person who unloaded the carts at the register both had been there for over 10 years. Both looked over the age of 40 and didn't seem like the type of people who couldn't find a job elsewhere. They said they genuinely liked working at Costco. Most of the people I have seen working at Costco work hard, they don't look like they hate their job. The only thing I probably wouldn't buy there are tires. My neighbor is a GM mechanic and he told me that Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, etc. get tires from manufactures that aren't up to the same quality standard as the ones they ship to places like tires plus or pure tire dealerships. I don't know how true that is though. There's a reason Costco is so popular, it's not just herd mentality. Very good products at very good prices, awesome return policy, and they treat their employees well. Why wouldn't people want to shop there? Last edited by Switter; 04-24-2024 at 08:14 AM. |

Please clarify the location. Is it the large vacant lot to the left of dollar tree and Beals? Not Hobby Lobby location.

If I lived in Ocala, I would rather use 75 and exit at Wildwood, rather than using 301 or any other road to drive down. When I go to Ocala, I also use 75 and get off at exit 200 or another exit to visit their stores. I could not imagine driving 441 or 301. Living near Brownwood, I don't even like using 441 to go to Sam's, or 301 to go to Walmart. I'm happy for Sumter County and The Villages, even if I don't love the location. |
