Not sure what model our friends have, but one of their bedrooms had sliding doors that opened to the lanai. They made the room a bar. Put beautiful upper & lower cabinets with a granite top, an 8 foot bar & a juke box that we use for karaoke. It' s a fun beautiful room. They even had a sink put in.

Rather than have a 3rd BR that remains unused most of the time ( a bit like our guest BR ) we opted to make this room multi functional. We have a comfortable sleep sofa, a small entertainment center that holds our TV, DVR and has two drawers for guest to put their cloths. We just purchased a desk that will be used as a sewing/craft table, writing desk and printer table.

We now have a multi functional room that gets much more use than it otherwise would have.

I think this is the MOST popular option. We don't plan to have a traditional dining room, the hutch and china cabinets will go in there, but I think my computer hutch and files will be there, too. We have an extra dining table that folds to only 2' X 4' and looks like a side table for when we have a big party.

Our front bedroom is my wife's craft room or at least it will be as soon as we have the carpet removed and tile installed. The idea posted earlier about floor to ceiling shelves in the closet sounds good too. That's definitely something to think about.
