Default TV approved to add 353 acres in Sumter county?

This was in this mornings paper. The acreage was to be for residential, recreation and other multi purpose use.

Was this a parcel already in the plan and just approved? Or new acreage?

I believe I read a few weeks ago the development company who is TV purchased a farm south of Rte 44 which was this size. If so, this is a new area and an extension of their past plans

Sounds great...the more the merrier! Maybe they'll take over the whole state...wouldn't that be fun? Maybe 17 more squares??? We won't know for sure until we see the bulldozers.

Default Build out

So much for the "Build Out" by 2015. I do not think they will stop building until they get to Orlando & Tampa.

several years ago at a Sumter County tax seminar it was mentioned that property in TV would sell for $100,000 per acre....nearby TV $50,000 per acre.

As TV continues to expand the value of the nearby property/farm owners continues to go up and when the price is right there is a sale.

Remember the horse farm/barn/ riding complex on Rainey Trail...route 472....where the village of Bridgeport at Lake Miona SHores is located.

$18,000,000 later no more horse complex, hello TV expansion, good bye wealthy horse farmer.

This scenario will continue to repeat itself until ..........

And this is a good thing as long as TV developers keep the same ratio of amenities to residents as it is today.....and doesn't start to cut back amenities for additional housing sales.

Actually, the build out is a mixed blessing....so long as the Morse family can make money building homes you are assured that they will keep this place up to top notch standards...plus you will have access to state of the art amenities; albeit at a distance (gas cart anyone?). On the downside, current owners will not see a huge jump in the price of their properties. When this place is built out - unless something really bad happens - the value of your home will soar (that old supply/demand calculus kicks in).

Wow....For years we have been dreaming of and planning a move from NW Florida to TV as soon as we can. If this keeps up we might end up in TV without having to move! LOL

With this addition of 353 acres, hopefully the developer will have room to build more softball fields, bowling alleys, and strip malls.
