Default T-Mobile cellular customers during hurricane emergency (StarLink satellites)

If you are a T-Mobile cellular customer, you may want to know about this partnership with SpaceX during the hurricane emergency. Basically, it applies if your T-Mobile cellular service goes down. Your T-Mobile cell device can connect to a StarLink satellite during the hurricane emergency for certain communications. Your device needs to be in line-of-sight with a satellite, which means you go outside to an open area or stand near a window with an unobstructed view.

Note: This feature differs from the messages by satellite discussion in a different thread.

Attached is the SpaceX announcement from last night.

Default Skeptical

Really? Online it says Starlink Satellites fly at 210 to 380 miles. Seems to me they would be farther unless directly overhead. Cell phones transmit that far?
And what if you're on a subsidiary of TMo? Like Metro or Mint? Call me skeptical.
