If you wish to pick a nit, you can call it private, but do remember, with any public school, there are boundary limits.....kids from one city cannot attend public school in another city. Charter schools

Maybe if this discussion is to continue, we should start another thread since we are now discussion something totally unrelated to the original question.

You are correct paulandjean. Kids can and do attend schools between not only cities but also school boundaries. As a retired teacher also, we had many children attend our school from different towns, cities, school districts, etc.

I asked one of the surveyers this morning and he said it was a school for 4th and 5th graders. The workers are working 12 hour days and are working at least on Saturday. I did not ask about Sunday.

Elevatorman is correct. It is a new building for the 4th and 5 graders to attend. Will be open in Aug when school starts. $$$$ donated by the Morse family.

An announcement about the charter school expansions (yes, plural) is at the school's website, The Villages Charter Schools - Central Office -- announcement near the top and a link to a map at the bottom.

Not all true,Tax money at work here also.Remember school receives per student, not sure but probably near $7000 per student.Shame down on 466A Wildwood Junior High closed and Higher grade students had to go to Wildwood High School.Wish they would share more for education in this area. They are so close but miles apart.
