People of faith who live in The Villages, may be interested in this post, particularly if you believe Jesus to be the messiah.

Perhaps you’ve seen ads for the product called “Glory Light.” It’s a projection light with discs that play on a ceiling. It plays Bible verses to teach children about Jesus at bedtime.

And maybe as a grandparent or great grandparent you thought, that might be a good gift for my special child or children. Maybe you feel your grands are not getting to know Jesus and you would like them to have that opportunity, knowing they will make their own decisions as they mature.

I view the “Glory Light” as a small mission from God that He laid on someones heart. He has been inspiring so many creative people to share knowledge of him, like the series, “The Chosen”. . .movies like the one out right now, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and the like. I see the work of creative believers everywhere.

I have this view because I too have been called to reach out to children. . .and through them to their older siblings and parents. . .by delivering fun, engaging materials into their homes. I think of it as bringing Sunday School into the home. . .in a way that is fun and certainly not intimidating. It is the planting of seeds. I know that God placed this mission on me. I fear that I have not done enough.

I recently moved to The Villages, although, I’ve been a snow bird for 11 years. But while I lived in Illinois, I helped found, along with some friends and family members, a non-profit called “StarGift Project Inc.” And all the time I was snowbirding, I kept getting the feeling that I was here in The Villages because God wants me here. I believe He want’s me to build that non-profit here, where there are so many talented people with so much to offer, many who want to volunteer for good causes, who might be willing to help grow this mission. It will take creative writers, artists of all kinds, leaders of course, administrators, those experienced in accounting. . .well the list is too long to share here.

That is not enough information. . .but it’s a start.
