Has anyone removed their glass shower doors? They are so hard to clean the tracks. I would prefer a shower curtain. Has anyone done this? This is in the master bath......no tub, just a stall.
Thanks, Kathy |

Yes, I did this after my husband had a stroke and needed to sit on a shower bench . The curtain is much more pleasing to the eye than the doors.

Our glass enclosure as well as the door is being taken out tomorrow morning and I am so thrilled to get this project started. New shower curtain is waiting to be hung when the renovation is complete.

Can you tell me who is doing this for you? I am interested to hear if the tiles will be ok or will they have holes after the enclosure is removed. Also, will the base be high enough so that water doesn't get on the floor? You will probably have to install a shower curtain rod. I would like to know how this works out for you. Thanks, Kathy

We have Reliance Resurfacing Solutions doing our work. Our project consists of building solid walls where glass panels were. the built walls will be 3/4 as high as the glass was then 3 rows of glass blocks added. I will then hang a shower curtain. There were no holes in the base when the panels were removed and yes the base will be high enough
We are extremely happy working with this company & highly recommend. Jose Guzman 422-7410 |
