Default Use the Consumer Cellular Telephone Program?

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who uses the AARP endorsed phone program. Also, those who use AT&T service -- are you satisfied?

Been using Consumer cellular for 3 plus years. No contract, use AT&T Network, their reps are all USA based and senior friendly with patience to help us figure out how to make things work. They also have great You Tube videos that take you step by step on how to use their phones and features. They do not offer the latest and greatest smart phones, but I have never found that was important. Their rates are reasonable and they alert you if you might exceed usage amount and allow you to change plans to avoid extra charges. Great company to deal with.
Check them out at www.consumercellular.com you might be happy you did.

I've used CC for four years all over the East coast. Never had a problem and the price is right.

I used to use cc but have switched to PuretalkUSA as for $10.00 that includes all taxes (CC has taxes added on) and also includes 130 minutes that can be rolled over indefinately. They have other plans also. Check them out at

We've only been with Consumer Cellular for a few months, but I wonder why we didn't switch earlier! It costs less than half what our previous carrier charged and we get way more! We have had no problems at all.

Once my husband was away on business, and used his phone to access the internet quite a few times. We got close to our limit that time, but they sent us a notice letting us know, I went in and changed the plan so he'd have enough, then changed it back to our usual plan after we got our bill. It was amazing! And easy!

We're fans and intend to stay with them for the long term.

Consumer Cellular now offers a home phone unit for $10/mo. It is a base that you plug your regular phone into and use cell service. We have always had a home phone and this one is inexpensive and not VOIP. Tried magicjack worked for a while but became intermittent. Anyway back to OP question. We have 2 CC cell phones and I just ordered this device. $34.51 last month for 2 cell phones with 150 min. 100 text and 10MB of web, all shared. They use AT&T network and we have had no problems.

Has anyone used www.affinitycellular.com or is this the one you are talking about. I just got a flyer in the mail and it says they use verizon towers. This ad is through AAA and the rates are much cheaper than using verizon. Fox example Freedom 5000 is 5000 minutes, 5000 texts, and 50 MB data for $55 per month and you can add up to 3 others for $10 each.
