Default VA disability ratings.

I posted this awhile back but just a reminder in case you missed it. I served in Vietnam and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Had the agent orange exam but was rated 0% but got $100.00 a month for losing a reproductive organ. Appealed it but declined. This past Oct.(2023) I received a call and just asked general questions. Was asked about any problems and I mentioned the agent orange problem and when she looked at my record was surprised to see 0% rating. She told me to contact vets service officer and he would fill out paper work for appeal. They have added high blood pressure and thyroid issues caused by agent orange. Fast foreward after 5 appointments with specialists which could be in Orlando or Ocala or local, I have a 60% rating. Contact your vets service officer in Sumter, Marion, or Lake county if you think you have an issue.

The VA recently added ‘fire pits’ health issues to their ‘immediate accepted’ list.
