Default Evacuating pets during a hurricane

It's sad about the dog tied to the post.

But what's your opinion about evacuating pets out of hurricane if people cant afford the hotel rates. $30 per pet PER night

The do the best that you can, whatever that may be.
What is your pet to you? An animal you own, or a member of your family (fur baby)?
If the former, you provide it the best shelter you can and hope for the best.
If you pet is "family", then you take it with you, just like other members of your family. If you truly can't afford the hotel bill, you find a pet friendly shelter, or keep driving until you can be safe, even if that means camping out in your car. Keeping the family safe and together. A family adventure, even if it is a it uncomfortable or inconvenient.

Yep I totally get it.

But domesticated pets are bred to be a part of our "family". Dogs and cats are depended on us.

I paid $1,000. Milton was not a "family adventure".

I told (well known hotel here) at check in and everyday after that we where avoiding Milton. They didn't care.

You're short sighted if you think many TV residents don't view their pets as "family". Many don't view it as an "animal you own".

They will not leave without their pets.

And this needs to be discussed.

You ask for opinions……then criticize.
