Default Free Gap Wedge

There's a free Callaway 52 degree gap wedge at the bottom of the lake at Bonifay's Pensacola course. It kept hitting my balls into the water at the island green on #3 so I thought that must be where it wants to go.

Hhmmm. No scuba gear or spear gun so I think I'll pass. I bet there's a happy alligator with a gap wedge.

Considering all the materials other than iron in a golf club, I hope this does not become a habit for anyone.

Did you say it was a 52 degree gap wedge? In that pond, I'll bet it's at least 90 degrees.

ba da dum

Hey Moderator,,instead of emoticons can we get sound effects? There awfully hard to spell out.

I agree Tom. Let's make some noise.

This thread is too funny. I imagine if I ever take up golf, I will end up with an entire set spread over one of the courses......
My tee shirt says "If you see me on a gold course...RUN" on the front, and "If you see my on the golf course with a driver run FASTER" on the back, I bowl, it is a lot safer.

Pretty funny. Holy smokes the OP has been blistered as I suspect he knew would happen. Just a fun thread!

What kind of driver do you use, and when is your next tee time?

I was playing at Craighills Golf Course (now closed) in Jonesboro, AR back in the '70's and there was a par 4 where your drive had to clear a pond and bulkhead separated the tee box from the pond. A person in a group in front of us proceeded to hit 5 balls in the water, walks over to his cart, takes the bag (full of clubs) off the cart and throws it in the water and gets in the cart and drives off. Everyone stands there in disbelief, laughing at what we just saw when here comes the guy back. He gets out of the cart, jumps in the water (about 5' deep), gets his car keys out and throws the bag back in the water. The course sent one of their maintenance workers out later to get everything out of the water. No gators there, just water moccasins.
