Really valet parking at the squares. Don't think I would trust that not here.

I was under the impression it was only at Spanish Springs during events held at The Sharon. Am I mistaken?

What's kept in a golf cart or car that a parking attendant would steal to pawn??

And isn't damage to our vehicle why we have insurance??

Too much importance placed on material possessions IMO.

I guess I've led a simple life; I've never used valet parking in my 62 years and I'm 100% sure I'll still park where I can find a spot and walk. Why pay someone money for something I can do?

When a person grows up poor, like I was, and not being able to have a lot of BASIC things in my younger years, I have a tendency to cherish my possessions that I am very fortunate to be able to now buy.

Some people are lucky to be born with a "silver spoon" in their mouth; others are lucky to be able to just share a plastic spoon with the few meals they have (or had).

I used the valet parking Saturday night at SS. Same as anywhere. No problems, very courteous.

And then there are some of us who grew up DIRT Poor who earned every single penny we did, to buy the things we like and need�..

What about the person (I am one) that was born with the plastic spoon, worked their butts off so they could take advantage of the stuff and services they couldn't afford over the years. Part of the "rewards" of years of hard work and prudent savings and investing is the joy of experiencing those things that make life a bit more interesting and enjoyable. If you were born poor (plastic spoon?) and you find living poor makes you feel better, please try not to judge those of us that were born poor but have come to enjoy some of the little things that make our lives more enjoyable.

What gets me is all the parking spaces they are taken up on the main street. If I wanted to open a store on the street you think they let me? I thought the streets were owned by the county.

It was my understanding that they are taking up 4 spaces at each square. That's only 4 spaces compared to the amount of people that used the service. If all the folks that used the service were parked closer to the square, you'd be loosing a lot more space.

Why would the Villages not want your store? .....

Nothing but a thinly veiled preemptive strike against those who felt parking for the Sharon was inadequate. What better way than to rope off 500 spaces in the Rialto parking lot which no theater goers can use and then have the audacity to charge $10 bucks a pop and have you think you are getting a good service. By the way, hope you supporters know you should tip the parking attendants. We need Valet Parking like we need a hole in the head. They no longer have Buffalos but they sure do have you all Buffalowed.
