Question Becoming an Ambassador in The Villages

Does anyone know how and where I should contact someone about part time work as an Ambassador?
Thanks for taking time to help me learn about this.

Hi Joellen. Welcome to Talk of the Villages. Here is a telephone number, 352.753.3396, for The Villages Golf and Country Club Administration offices. Someone there should be able to answer your question.

Go to the Golf Administration Office. It is located on the 2nd floor of the MVP Fitness Center in Spanish Springs. Park in the rear parking lot and enter through the rear entrance of the MVP Fitness Center. (The front doors are locked and no one will answer your knock) Proceed to the elevator and get off onto the 2nd floor. Turn right and you'll see the door to the office. Word to the wise. Dress appropriately, ask the person manning the front desk nicely for an application, take the application home, fill it out in its entirity and then return it to that same office. As the need presents itself the HR office will call you for an interview and explain the hiring process to you.

How do I know this? At one time I worked for the Golf Administration. I wish you the best. Take care!

Good luck, there is a l-o-n-g waiting list. I have had my application in for 1-1/2 years and have only been called for 3 interviews, which were all in the last 6 months. Generally, the country club doing the hiring calls you to set up an appointment at their facility. My experience has been there is usually 6 applicants interviewed by a panel of 2 to 4 country club managerial staff for 1 opening. The hours you are to be scheduled if you get hired are usually are around 20 per week working 3 half days. Unless you ask for a renewal, the HR Dept. will keep your application for 1 year before they toss it.
