It's not.
Those who have been critical of your actions either don't play golf or don't understand the rules.

Specifically, I think there are people who posted that need to understand the difference between:

After hours play
Course closed
Golf course and practice range
The meaning of "last tee time"
Pace of play
Golf etiquette
When it is appropriate to hit a shot

I am particularly concerned if people have booked "the last tee time" with the intention of using the course as a practice range---they are the "entitled"

Background to yesterdays post regarding golfing on executive course after last tee time.

After inquiring if it is allowable to golf after last tee time of day ( both at the trail fee office and the starter a few days prior and both said it was fine), we arrived at the tee box about 715 pm- there were a few other waiting. After the 6th hole we noticed the other that were ahead of us were gone and we caught up to a very slow group. They were hitting 3 and 4 ball off of the tee each, playing all of the balls and sitting in their cart for about 3 minutes after leaving the green.
On the 8 hole after they started to leave in their cart and rounded the bend, I hit my shot. He slammed on the brakes and started cursing at me for "hitting into them". His wife then informed us that they booked the last tee time and no one was allowed behind them. I told them we inquired and was told it was ok to do this and having the last tee time does not make it their own personal practice range. Again was cursed at .It felt like they were being slow on purpose , then making you believe they were going to the next hole and then stopping their cart in an effort to stir trouble. . I feel the other groups between us had the same experience and probably just left.

Most people golfing after closing, are learners.
I have learned not to get on the tee box while people are playing ahead, this makes them believe they are being rushed and some purposely slow down. Don't practice swing toward the green, turn sideways or backward.
I skip holes, I rarely play through even when offered.

Apparently they assumed because they were last tee time that they were given the privelage to play 3 balls every hole. Hopefully they have since figured out that the last tee time means nothing.

If they were gone around the bend as stated they wouldn't know he had hit the ball so there would have been no yelling. Perhaps the one playing after hours, maybe without having ever paid any golfing fees, wants the ambassador to hang around to speed up play.
Just wondering.

Golf used to be a gentleman's game...hitting 3-4 balls each is outrageous when others are behind you no matter when.

You “believe” or “think” other groups had the same experience. You can’t “feel” it. I’m amazed at the number of people who don’t know the difference between a thought and a feeling.

Don’t really care and don’t know why you would feel the need to spread your experience on social media. Forget about it and be happy.

But that would eliminate 95% of all threads on TOTV:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Better question is why did someone post #56?????

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Amazing how hostile everyone gets by the end of a thread!

You can hear a golf ball hitting the green, and it generally sounds different than hitting the rough or sand or (yikes) water

Oh ...contra (sp)....they should complain here in hopes they read this. Very rude behavior.
They might of had an agenda, but obviously it didn't work bc they put you on the course behind them....did you attempt to reason with them this point, or were they that stupid.
They must of seen you, why wouldn't they let you play through?

I've done this before playing behind someone by himself hitting 3 balls on every hole because the group in front of him was verrrry slow. When I was going around him he yelled at me and said there was nowhere to go. Well, I went around the slow group as well and there were 2 holes open in front of them. I zoomed right along.
