Default Verizon 4G Availability

Does Verizon have 4G service in the Villages? It is hard to tell from their coverage map. Also, how is their service in the area?

Said it before and I'll say it again - terrible in Hadley. Have to stand in a certain spot in my house to even make a call. Haven't had these issues for years in other parts of the country so very disappointing to say the least.

Usually just 3G but reception is very good in S.S.

I don't think they have 4G here yet, but the service is excellent throughout The Villages. I have never been anywhere in The Villages without service.

Some people who complain of service may not have reset their phone for the local towers. I think it is 228 to reset to local towers.

I live in Mallory.

I switched to Verizon on the very first date that I could after the contract on my iPhone expired. I spent two years of complete aggravation with AT&T. I don't remember a phone call when I didn't experience a "drop"...not even one!

Since switching to Verizon, I haven't had even one dropped call; unlike AT&T there's virtually no delay in dialing a number; and when I choose to use their broadband service for my iPad or iPhone, again unlike tortoise-slow AT&T, it zips along pretty well. I even make calls in Hadley with no problems.

And yes, to answer your question, the little LTE icon (4G) shows up on both my phone and iPad most of the time.

We've had great reception with Verizon. We've been customers for several years and have never experienced a "dropped call".

We have 2 Verizon cells and also 2 4G devices for wifi service - They all work great -
We can take a wifi unit , which is the size of a cell phone, with us in the car and have internet coverage up and down the east coast - Beats anything I ever used - We have one at a rental home and the renters loved it -

I have updated my phone several times and so did my husband. We just can't get good reception here for some reason. Once I am out of my area it usuallly works fine
so I guess to be safe take your phone where you want to buy and see if it works?!?!

I have been renting for 3 weeks in Mission Hills. I usually get good reception. However have noticed when out and about it's 80% good.

Default We got plenty of Gs in Mallory at Murphy's Estate and Odell

I have two Verizon Wireless devices here in Mallory. Both almost get perfect 4G. What I mean by almost is my Galaxy phone shows an icon that says 4G next to an image with 3 out of 4 bars.

My little Veirizon wireless wifi unit's 4G light is green (good).

For kicks I just disconnected my laptop's Ethernet from my router. It detects and connects via wifi to the Verizon wireless device and I run a test to speedtest.net.

3 tries on verizon wifi wireless hub:

download: 11.5 - 13.7 Mbps, upload: 6.41 -8.4 Mbps

I am impressed.....

I do not use this wifi hub unless traveling for work and they pick up the tab, so I cannot speak to usage costs.
