Selfish.
Not only the liquor store, but all along the front of the store. "Special people" just do as they please.
Blocking visibility of people coming out of the store is really, really rude & dangerous.

For a while it was no harm done as most of the homes built across from the P&P were not yet occupied. Now many are but it doesn't stop some from parking up and down in front of those homes. I actually once saw a car (BMW convertible with the top down) parked on the side of Fenney Way in the golf cart lane directly across from the Putt and Play. The other day, I watched someone try to turn into the entrance in their car only to realize at the last minute that it is carts only. The Sugar Cane pool is not that far away and is where you are supposed to park if you want to go to Putt and Play. It's not that far of a walk and I've never seen that parking lot even near full. It seems to me that if you have the strength and energy to play the course, you can muster up enough to walk from the pool and back.
Last time I played the Putt and Play there weren't many finished homes, as it was a construction area. Parked where I was directed and did the walk. No big deal. But my question is my neighborhood allows street parking and no signs otherwise, so does Fenney have parking restrictions? If they do the people that pa rk there are definitely in the wrong. As far as Winn Dixie is concerned parking in front is a violation.

Isn't the Big Cypress Rec Center and pool right behind the rear of the Palmetto starter shack ?

A violation of what?

Went on google earth and measured the distance from the Palmetto starter shack to the Big Cypress Rec Center parking lot - 38 feet. I learned how to use a new tool - cool.

I don't know, and I agree.

That's part of the mindset I think - how can I improve my personal situation on a technicality (at best)? Parking may be allowed on the side of the street. But it seems to me that the spirit of that is that you do so if you are visiting the residence you are parking in front of. How would these people like it if multiple cars were parked up and down their street day in and day out so that the people could be nearer something that was across the highway or around the corner? The irony is that the people that do these things are the very ones that get bent out of shape when something similar effects them. I can tell you, for sure, that parking on the street on Fenney Way is not allowed because the cart paths go down both sides, and it is just that, a cart lane, not a parking lane. And on the side streets across from the Putt and Play, I have seen portable signs put out that say no parking, but they are not there all of the time.

I would not be happy if there was a constant stream of parking in front of my house. That situation should have been addressed at the onset with parking restriction signage. But it's not too late for that, and a concerted neighborhood effort could be the key to resolution.

I think the Palmetto example has been debunked. Is there other executive courses that come to mind that parking lots are not a reasonable distance away ? I have looked at a map and could not find any but I'm not that familiar with all the new courses south of 466A.

Nope.

The Mira Mesa course has parking at the Chula Vista Rec center.

Sandhill doesn’t have nearby parking. You have to park at Turtle Mound and either walk through the cart tunnel or risk crossing Buena Vista. When it opened there was a similar problem with people parking in front of homes nearby when they played the course.

Can't remember people parking their cars in front of homes to play Sandhill. if they did why don't they do it now?

Putt and Play is different, because a golf cart is not an option to play it. A lot of people drive their cars to get to it.

That is why we do not play Sandhill. Taking our pull carts thru the MMP tunnel is too dangerous.
