Default New Year Eve's Parties

I was wondering if everyone would like to share where they went for New Year Eve and how did they enjoy themselves?

We spent it at our home in TV for the 1st time but had no television....
Just hubby and I
WE have the tradition of eating 12 grapes each, for good luck, so we did that at the midnight toast.

City Fire ! We have been going to their New Year's Eve party for 6 years now. It's a blast. They serve delicious food, great entertainment & they have Black Jack tables, Roulette Wheel & a Craps table. Lots of funny money to gamble with. Always a fun time there !

5 couples from our neighborhood of Jacaranda Island in Pennecamp did a progressive dinner. Started at 6 and ended at 2am. We had a ball. Very festive and a lovely evening to bop from house to house to enjoy each others decor and culinary abilities. That's the latest we've stayed up since we moved here. The travel in the fresh air kept everyone lively and sober and we were playing games after midnight. Would definitely like to do it again.

I had a party at my house. I took everyone's keys upon entering so as not to argue with them about driving if they became too drunk. I'm proud to say no one got out of control drunk but I did have 5 people sleep over (kinda like a slumber party). We ate, drank, played games, watched the ball drop, then went out back and lit our sparklers. Next day we had black eyed peas, collard greens, and cornbread. All had a fabulous time!! May repeat next year.

Although I used to be among the over drinkers, I find myself now with friends who don't drink very much at all.

Is it me or us, or are we getting old, or do people feel they have been there and done that?

A littl bit of everything. In my family, drinking is at a minimum. My uncle always drank in moderation and I never saw him out of control.

I think we all drink in moderation as we get older as we don't seem to want to deal with the after effects of the next day. I'd like to think we have gotten smarter.
