I'd suggest getting in touch with a Villages sales person. This way, in theory, you should be getting fact and not rumor. We didn't find them pushy and answered our questions before we made the decision to buy.

I believe 1,920 homes are to be build in Fruitland Park, in 2015.

This is from The Daily Sun article, several months back.

They are about another 75 homes to be built in the historic section, as the late developer had bought 80 home sites, and 5 have been built.

Don't know if all the homes in Lake Deaton have been sold. That is something you need to ask a VLS agent.

If anyone has more up to date info, let's hear it.

A realtor friend of ours has a shirt that says;

The Sun Newspaper has a section on Saturday that features lots of photos of happenings sent in by residents. Each week in that section they been featuring a different villages with all the stats, such as number of homes and number of residents and villa communities. It seems the average village is about 800 to 1200 homes and Duval is probably the largest with about 1550 homes. I would estimate that Lake Deaton by it's geographic size would fall into the small size, maybe 800 to 1000 homes. They definitely haven't sold out, several new Lake Deaton homes are advertised online and in the newspaper everyday. That's just my guess, your salesman would probably have the exact figures.
