Default Summer Weather Ocean Breeze?

As I have been study TOTV, one question I have not been able to answer is;

What type of ocean breeze does the villages enjoy. I know TV is approximently 1 hour from either ocean, but is there any ocean breeze to help with the HEAT of summer? Not that this is a make or break part of our decision. That has been already made, one day we will be there. (Just have to put my time into the JOB to be able to retire.) I was just wondering if in the HOT days of summer do you get any type of breeze like the coastlines of Florida. I appreciate any input from any members because some day I won't just be a forum member, I will be your Neighbor.

Thank you to all my future neigbors.

There might be a breeze in the summer, but I'm not sure it's from the ocean. I grew up along the water and the breeze was almost constant...great for kite flying, but sometimes you just wanted calm air...

It gets hot, it gets hot in other parts of the country, too. The thing here, everyplace is air conditioned so you get a respite from the heat. Everyone has a different tolerance for the warm temps and humidity, some are more impacted than others, but there is always something to do...lots of indoor activities and in the evenings, the air isn't quite as warm.

Remember, you'll get a nice breeze when you ride around in your golf cart...

The weather men refer to sea breezes, both east and west coast. In their forecasts they indicate when these sea breezes meet there usually is rainfall.
Sometimes they are right and sometimes.......................

I don't know from whence they come but in the heat of summer it does not take very much breeze to take off the heat. On the days of no breeze at all it can be pretty over bearing....but that in my experience is pretty rare.

I have lived almost my entire life within a couple of miles of the ocean. Moving to TV this past summer was the first time I had been this far away from a coast for any length of time. To be honest, it was hard to get used to at first--there was an occasional breeze but there were also periods of uncomfortable stillness in the air. I didn't find it too bad and like anything else, I think we learn to adapt. Besides, in the summer is the best time for a cooling dip in the pool--less crowded and lots of time to enjoy it!
