I expect this will be one of the “prime” sought-after villages in the Eastport area, due to its location within walking distance to Eastport. Much like Richmond is to Brownwood.

Which leads me to ask the question — Will investors jump all over Water’s Edge, and will it also be a magnet for short term rentals?

Agree, nice area with great long term potential.

Wellpoint also - tradeoff is being a little further from Eastport/ Middleton but a little closer to Magnolia Plaza, Sawgrass, Ednas, Brownwood and Villages north.

There will be thousands of attractive locations in that area within a 2 mile radius of Eastport built over the next two or so years.

Our first visit in 2007, not only did our rep find homes for us to buy, but “guaranteed”we would have tenants for 3-6 months. We chose not to buy during the feeding frenzy.

Then in 2010, same rep offered us the same deal. We bought our first home a PV, with little effort and his help, had a 6month tenant 2 weeks after close.

2012 same rep we bought 3/2 cottage, same offer for tenant. By then we were old pros and had a multi year long term tenant day after closing.

So renting in TV, was actually promoted and encouraged if you weren’t ready to retire.

BIG difference, we didn’t have problems with “drive by daily renters” that is now an issue, with Airbnb.
