Default The Villages 2003 projection

Just reviewed an article in the July/August 2003 edition of Where to Retire and there was a letter from someone who had just visited The Villages and they were impressed, not surprised. The comment from the editor was that "The Villages is a small town itself, with about 32,000 residents, a number that will grow as the community reaches its build-out of about 23,500 homes." The Villages has certainly exceeded that 2003 projection.

.....and the on-going question always is, "When will the development end?"

Perhaps when The Villages reaches the coast lines and have to decide weither it's worth developing floating villages?

I don't think they will stop anytime soon!

When we first looked at The Villages they were going to stop building in 2008.

It was the size of a small town. Now it will be the size of a small city. Next, is there room on the flag for a small star?

Everyone has to live somewhere, and thank goodness we have the right to choose to live here where everything is clean, beautifully built/maintained, affordable, sunny, green, and filled with people who are happy!!
