The statistic I am very interested in is what is the target ratio of championship golf courses and sports pools to number of Villages/ homes and when and where will they add more championship golf courses and sports pools?

I think this was discussed on these boards some time ago. There are areas of TV that have more free golf, championship courses and rec pools than others. It's not evenly distributed throughout TV - all you have to do is look at a map. To me, it looks like as soon as you cross 466A and go south towards Brownwood, the "free stuff" starts to get a bit thin. The new areas by Fenny seem to continue this trend, substituting smaller "Putt and Play" golf and "Pitch and Putt" golf for more land-consuming Executive courses. Seems like the developers would rather build houses to sell than use the land to provide "free golf" and other amenities.

I don't know if you're still up north, but your screen name and location say that you are. The map is a little misleading. I'm off St. Charles near Sterling Hgts Rec Center about a 1/2 mile north of 466A. It's fairly central between Brownwood and LSL at about 3 to 4 miles to either one.

With golf, I only play the championship courses and I look at it as how long does it take in a cart to reach the course. From my home in a golf cart at 20 mph within 20 minutes I can reach Cane Garden, Havana, Mallory, Arnold Palmer, Evans Prairie, Bonifay and Belle Glade, and within 30 minutes Glenview. I have played Lopez three times which is about 50 minutes and Terra Del Sol twice, that's about 40 minutes. Even though Glenview is a 30 minutes we have probably played that course as much as any, I've cut that trip from 40 minutes to 30 minutes by using the Kingston Way shortcut through Winifred.

Tomorrow I'm playing Havana, which on a map looks like it on the opposite side of TV. I'll be there in 15 minutes, St. Charles south to Buena Vista, north to O'Dell and east to Havana.

Maybe it is as simple as adequate enough land to accommodate executive or championship courses.

I do no think the number of holes available is based on how many or how much is in any neighborhood or proximity.

15 years and counting.....have never not been able to get a t time for the day requested. We put in pretty broad requests...across several hours with specific courses and anywhere available.

Based on the rate of sales and continued expansion it is obviously not an issue for the incoming new residents.....who we all were once upon a time!!

It's also possible that Golf is not as big of a selling point as it once was. They are selling to a younger demographic and what was a high point for previous buyers may not be for up and coming retirees.

Like any successful business I'm sure the development company has done it's research to see what future customers want

Courses are first, pools shortly after. Only the new part can accommodate a new championship

A couple of years ago I compared the population of each year to the number of execs and champs and it seemed pretty even. I did not sort by distance. I would also like to know if that's still true.

When we took the trolley ride the guide told us that golf is not the number one sport in TV but pickleball is. We were very surprised.
