Baker House Christmas Tours in Wildwood have expanded to two weekends. Groups have decorated the rooms upstairs and the barn in honor of the season.

Tours will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Dec. 13; from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday Dec. 14.

Tours will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Dec. 20; from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday Dec. 21.

A ticket donation of $10.00 per person is requested. As guests come through the house they will be able to vote on their Favorite Decorated Room.

The setting offers great photo opportunities that will benefit the local All N One 4H.

The Baker family donated the Baker Homestead and 5 acres to the Wildwood Area Historical Association and the City of Wildwood.

The home is located at 6106 County Road 44A in Wildwood.

Senator David Hume Baker (1841-1917) served in the Civil War as a first lieutenant in the 12th Kentucky Calvary (Union). After the war he moved to Florida and served in the Florida Senate. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

A dedicated band of volunteers, including Gidget Gibson, have been working to restore the Baker House over the past few years.

New porches for the back of the main house and kitchen house are complete thanks in large part to money raised through last years tours. PSL Construction also lent its support to the project.
