The whole point of JT's email is that this has nothing to do with amenities.
One day after we are sure TV is right for us.

We can't use it at pools or that kind of stuff. We have an In-Area guest ID for those things!
It was clear until you introduced the "In-Area guest ID". I know there is a provision for in area children and grandchildren of residents. Are you saying an in area resident can get a guest pass to use at resident owned community pools "and that kind of stuff"? How does this work? What are the requirements? Is this different from the guest pass I get for our son from California when he visits us?

Of course I had never heard of the "Dreammaker" card. However that concerns private entities and has no impact on resident owned amenities.

Whats the big deal???? I have no problem with Villagers, working in The Villages getting any kind of compensation or quirks etc. They earn it and deserve it. Thank goodness we have these workers, with their great smiles and hospitality!!! Hats off to the worker of The Villages

Yes, I did read all the posts. I was not questioning your posting of the information you received and if anything it was supportive of your conclusion.

Thanks for the clarification, Bogie Shooter. In retrospect, I think I acted a little churlish.

I had hoped the matter had been put to bed then along comes someone who claims to have an "in area guest pass". See post #49 and my response #62.

It gets curiouser and curiouser.

I work for THe VIllages. I am paid minimum wage. I pay for my monthly annutities and trail fees like everyone else. I get no preference for reservations for tee times. I am charged points like all other golfers. We pay 1/2 price to golf on the Championship Courses. And we receive a modest discount to the Golf Shops and to the Havanna Country club.

Gee, I work for The Villages and don't get those perks. Sounds like someone is just spouting off...

We live in a country where we are free to work and live anywhere we would like. From the Ten Commandments:. Thought shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods. I am happy for whatever benefits that our village workers earn. God bless.

By "Thought" did you mean to say "Thou?"

Probably not a good idea to covet thy neighbor's wife, either!

I know the Ox you are talking about ..... the Ox next door .... easily a ten - a real cutie.
