Default Anyone know status of A Wish or Two Ago french bakery ?

Does anyone know if "A Wish or Two Ago Bakery" (formerly in Grand Island) is now open in their new location in Eustis ? Hours and days they are open ? And finally, are they again coming to the Brownwood farmer's market on Sat. mornings ?

I spoke with Kathleen a couple days ago. It's been a saga of unbelievable bureaucracy. After finally finding a new home, they needed to upgrade the electrical. Duke was going to install an upgraded transformer then Ian hit. Several month delay. Finally new transformer was installed but then they needed a new meter at the site. More months delay. Now they are waiting for the Inspectors, State and Local, to come back and give their 'blessing".
They hope to open late this month and be back at Brownwood maybe the last Saturday of March, or first one of April.

What a resilient couple. I look forward to their return.

Oh thank you so much for your reply. Resilient for sure, and HARD WORKERS; any baker has a very hard job, I worked in a home town family bakery after school, cleaning the large sheets.. every time I felt sorry for myself I thought about the baker who worked all night and day. We did realize how blessed we were that we did not have to buy bread , cakes, and danish in the grocery store ! I can't wait for the Pink Tent again, and some cranberry walnut, Kalamata olive bread, some God's bread, and croissants, and cheese danish, and.... and ... and LOL !

GOD bless all the independent bakers that run their own business.

In case you haven't notice, the good ones are far and in between.

Yes, and even "bakeries" inside stores like Publix, are certainly a cut above the bread and cookies shelves in the store, once we moved here and found A Wish or Two Ago bakery and started eating bread and some treats with no preservatives at all... it was REALLY REALLY hard to go back to that again after Wish or Two lost it's property. Will be soooo happy when they are all settled in Eustis and when they get back to the Brownwood market !
