So, what's this all about? Progress? Does anyone have a problem driving a golf cart from TV to Mickey's house???

Most Country Clubs here are just a Restaurant attached to a pro shop. No reason not to share space and personell with recreational facilities,

There is more open land per rooftop south of 44 compared to North.

Operative words: (....State Road 44 is NOW seen). How it is seen next week, or next year may be different.

If you want to do a little map-reading, you’ll discover that from CR 42 on the north to the current residential and commercial areas being developed, The Villages is already longer from north to south than the distance from the southern border of Evanston IL to the northern border of Dixmoor IL.

For those of you unfamiliar with the geography that means that The Villages is already longer from a north to south than the City of Chicago!

No. The original promise was to stop at 466A! And that we would have a real hospital in that area. And on and on...

If I may ask, who made this promise, and was it in writing?

My guess is it evokes a fear that the Villages will eventually break up into more manageable pieces, each with their own amenities and governance.

I'm more curious about what would happen if the next generation of heirs to the Morse family throne decides he doesn't want to deal with the Villages at all, and just gives it up.

We early boomers have kids in their 50's already, there will be plenty of buyers, maybe not 7 new homes per day but they will still sell a lot of them.

You do realize they are building more golf courses south of 44, right?

By the time that would happen and effect us we will be long gone and our children can deal with it.

More likely the Morse family understands what they have going and hires professional managers and goes on an around the world cruise.

Doesn't take 6 hours to drive the length of TV though.

Actually is over ten miles.
